The brief
A large family lawn that was thin, mossy and waterlogged in winter, bordered by overgrown hedges that had lost their shape and were shading out the grass.
What we did
We reduced and reshaped the hedges over two visits, then hollow-tine aerated and scarified the lawn, top-dressed with a sandy loam and overseeded with a hard-wearing mix. A seasonal feeding plan followed.
The result
A dense, even lawn that drains properly and stands up to football, with crisp, healthy hedges on a simple twice-yearly trimming schedule.
