Our story

It started with one

overgrown garden

Fernwood began in 2012 when a neighbour asked us to rescue a garden nobody had touched in years. One weekend turned into a season, that season turned into a waiting list, and the waiting list turned into a crew.

We still work the same way: one team from first sketch to seasonal care, plants chosen for the soil they will actually live in, and a quote that does not move once the work starts.

Started with one van, a trailer and a waiting list of neighbours.

2016

Took on our first full crew and moved into the yard on Garden Avenue.

2020

Added an in-house design studio so plans and builds stay under one roof.
