Project story
The brief
A weedy, unused corner against a brick wall. The owners wanted to grow their own vegetables without bending down and without the whole plot turning into a chore.
What we did
We cleared the ground, laid weed membrane and gravel paths, and built four timber raised beds at a comfortable working height, filled with a rich topsoil and compost blend. A water butt feeds a simple drip line.
The result
A tidy, productive kitchen garden that grows salads, herbs and summer vegetables, with paths that stay clean and beds that are easy to weed and water.

We picked our first salad six weeks after they finished. The beds are so easy to look after.
